Bringing the drama to journalism.

After a successful run in acting, I wanted to make the move from dramatic to factual story telling. Very fortunately, I won a scholarship from ITV, (the UK's leading commercial broadcaster), to study on City University's prestigious Television Current Affairs Journalism postgrad course.

Meanwhile, I was also learning on the job by working on the news desk or producing at Westminster at ITN.

Since then, I've worked as a reporter and producer for ITV (network) News and Al Jazeera English’s international news channel, and spent a year as a China Correspondent based in Beijing.

I have regularly reported the top story on British network news, covering all topics from politics and business, to foreign affairs and sport.

During much of the pandemic, I shielded to help care for my parents, especially because my father had terminal cancer.
